Early Ming Antique Chinese Blue and White Porcelain Jar with Characters The blue glaze of the traditional cobalt oxide of this early Ming Dynasty porcelain jar shines like the first day. Its base with a slim foot opens the way to a double-line medallion that cements the main figure: two exquisitely detailed portraits of Chinese nobility in their daily chores. In the first one, a bearded man immersed in his work, being fanned by two women, while someone presents to him a message, with mountains and sky behind him.

In the second portrait there is a woman sitting at a table next to what appear to be her children, also with mountains and a sky behind her. Both illustrations are deeply interesting and full of details about life in ancient China during the early Ming dyanasty. Surrounding these figures are beautiful stems of peony with leaves that give the piece a more harmonious touch.

Arriving at the neck of the jar is a scroll with a floral motif and rhomboid figures that opens the way to the shaft. Measurements: Height: 29.5 cm Diameter: 27 cm.
